The ACPL-336J-500E's robust design includes a 2.5 A Miller clamp, integrated fail-safe IGBT protection with desaturation detection and "soft" IGBT turn-off, as well as fault feedback and undervoltage lockout (UVLO) protection. The device includes an integrated input LED driver to ensure simplified design and provides fast 250 ns propagation delay over temperature. Minimum common-mode rejection (CMR) of 30 kV/μs at VCM = 1500 V provides high noise immunity. ACPL-336J-500E operates over a wide voltage range (15 V to 30 V) and temperature range (-40 °C to 105 °C), comes in a compact SO-16 package, and is approved by regulatory agencies including UL1577 , CSA approved and compliant with IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-5. Description:

Avago's ACPL-336J gate drive optocoupler features fast propagation delay with excellent timing skew performance. Smart features that are integrated to protect the IGBT include IGBT desaturation detection with softshutdown protection and fault feedback, undervoltage lockout and feedback, and active Miller current clamping. This full-featured and easy-to-implement IGBT gate drive optocoupler comes in a compact, surface-mountable SO-16 package for space-savings. It is suitable for driving IGBTs and power MOSFETs used in motor control and inverter applications. Avago isolation products provide reinforced insulation and reliability that deliver safe signal isolation critical in high voltage and noisy industrial applications.
