The ISO1410BDWR isolation interface IC is a versatile, high-performance solution with excellent features for modern industrial control and communication systems. It is compatible with TIA/EIA-485-A standards and PROFIBUS, provides strong bus I/O protection, including protection up to ±30 kV HBM, as well as low electromagnetic interference (EMI) characteristics and supports multiple data transmission rates. In addition, the IC features a wide power supply range, fail-safe receivers, multi-node support, high common-mode immunity, and a temperature range suitable for harsh environments. Its wide-body SOIC-16 package is compatible with most isolated RS-485 transceivers, making replacement and upgrades easier.

Description:

 

The ISO1410 devices are galvanically-isolated differential line transceivers for TIA/EIA RS-485 and RS-422 applications. These noise-immune transceivers are designed to operate in harsh industrial environments. The bus pins of these devices can endure high levels of IEC electrostatic discharge (ESD) and IEC electrical fast transient (EFT) events which eliminates the need for additional components on bus for system-level protection. The devices are available for both basic and reinforced isolation (see Reinforced and Basic Isolation Options).
